Thursday’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy started with a freshly separated Teddy struggling with her new normal: in other words, spending the night in a hotel room eating takeout and watching reality TV. But it ended with the start of what promised to be one steamy encounter.
Helping Jo Ended Up Helping Teddy
Early on in the episode, Teddy bumped into onetime lust interest Cass, who was bringing husband David the wallet he’d misplaced. Altman was so flustered that she eagerly agreed to help colleague Jo negotiate to buy a new car.
Once the dealer was talking about the importance of the vehicle — family memories would be made in it — Teddy broke down and admitted to Jo that she and Owen were divorcing. Karev’s ex reassured her friend that it takes time to bounce back from the end of a marriage — but look at her now; she was happier than ever.
Jo advised that Teddy needn’t reinvent her life overnight, she could simply “find one tiny moment of joy” on any given day.
Teddy Got Together With Cass Stat
Teddy’s idea? At the end of the episode, we saw that she’d arranged to go out with Cass — and greeted her with a kiss that suggested that they were picking up where they left off. “Where are we going?” Cass asked.
TBD. But we’re pretty sure it was about as far from Owen as they could get.
